Pwllheli Carnival
Weird and wonderful characters entertain the crowds in this summer's day procession at Pwllheli, Gwynedd.
Overview
All manner of weird and wonderful floats cruise through the streets for this summer's day procession in the north Wales market town of Pwllheli, Gwynedd. Among the scouts and brass bands, clowns and crowds there are plenty of crazy characters: a laundry van carrying a tableau of wash day and the sign "DON'T KILL YOUR WIFE! - Let US do the washing"; a Pierrot with a cat's face leading a pony; and an extremely creative leek outfit.
The main sequence of the film was shot from the upstairs window of the Whitehall Hotel, where the procession turns down Gaol Street towards the Square.
