Overview
If the Topical Budget newsreel was genuinely hoping to kick-start a new dance craze, it was destined for disappointment. But no matter: in an era when such images were much less pervasive than today, the sight of that endearingly wobbly penguin gait pretty much guaranteed audience satisfaction.
As 'news' this is undeniably on the slight side - and it's no threat to David Attenborough - but when the zoo came calling, Topical, like most of its rivals, could usually make a cameraman available.
