Passport to Llyn
Snapshots of villages of the Llyn Peninsula and more extensive footage of Pwlhelli - its market and mart plus an early Father Christmas!

Overview
On assuming the role of Captain of Pwllheli Golf Club in 1958, William Lloyd Ellis bought a Super 8mm camera and created films to amuse family and friends. He owned a shop selling handbags in Pwllheli and here presents a series of snapshots of the Llyn Peninsula, a place that was dear to his heart. Porth Dinllaen, Llanbedrog and Aberdaron feature but Pwllheli is the main focus, with its street market, mart, circus, water skiers and feral goats on Yr Eifl (mountain).
This film also features Fiona Lloyd Ellis, the film-maker's young daughter who is seen trying to stroke calves in a field, and on a slide. The film should have a soundtrack as William Lloyd Ellis asked local friend, Huw Roberts, to provide commentaries for all his films, to which he also added music. However, at present NSSAW is unfortunately unable to transfer the soundtrack for this film, or the soundtracks for any other films made by William Lloyd Ellis.
