Parade of the Blackburn Territorials (1909)
Soldiers leaving Blackburn for a Royal Review in Worsley, Manchester.
Overview
These scenes were specially commissioned from Mitchell and Kenyon by Harry Yorke, manager of the Royal Hippodrome theatre in Blackburn, where this and other films of local interest were screened alongside a programme of variety acts. An advert for the screening in the Blackburn Times promised "the most realistic and lifelike local picture shown in Blackburn".
