Notts V. Derby, 1934
Derbyshire visit Trent Bridge to take on Nottinghamshire for the 1934 Cricket County Championship
Overview
Led by Arthur Carr, Nottinghamshire face Derbyshire in the 1934 County Championship. This footage was captured by an amateur filmmaker from an excellent position in the stands, where the cheery spectators seem in good spirits. Wider shots of the whole ground would have been a bonus, but there are great close-ups of batting and bowling, including Notts player Harold Larwood with his customary pacey deliveries towards the camera. Derbyshire went on to win by 28 runs.
