Overview
Two women make their way across a field, one imploring the other not to cross over the boundary into the outside world. But the younger woman in determined; she’s grown suspicious of the unquestioning deference to their leader and, now that she’s stopped taking her medication, feels clear-headed and strong for the first time in a long while. Her companion has other plans for her, however, afraid of the consequences if she were to succeed in her quest.
This taut dystopian thriller from writer-director Aurora Fearnley whose allegory explores the relationship between women, patriarchy, mental health and historic perceptions of credibility.
