Overview
J.H. Poyser made a series of films covering all aspects of life in the Derbyshire town of Long Eaton. In this example, which features sections of somewhat faded colour film, highlights range from the local children's outing to Skegness (beginning with a wonderfully disorderly scrum as they board the bus) to a blustery fashion show on what must have been the town's only roof-top garden. Also look out for an insight into the workings of a lace factory.
