Overview

It's September 1924 and the Topical Budget newsreel cameras are outside the courts at Wimbledon during the Junior Championships of Great Britain. The title heralds "young players of promise" and though the first player is not identified, there is a glimpse of 14-year-old Betty Nuthall in action. Nuthall competed in the women's singles at Wimbledon in 1926 and became an international tennis star.
