Overview
John Poyser, who died in 1952, made a series of promotional films for the Long Eaton Co-operative Society in the 1930s. Although we can't be sure that this, possibly incomplete, reel is one of those it does appear likely. A family who have fallen on hard-times receive an inheritance administrated by the Co-op and decide to spend it (where else) at their local store. Cutting off abruptly we never do get to see the son get his much needed new shoes.
