Hangman

Health and safety gone mad: stuntmen have a blast in this grisly warning to building site workers

Documentary 1985 17 mins

Overview

Stuntmen have a blast in this grisly warning to building site workers, in the tradition of inventive British safety films. Boasting a doom-laden opening montage with shades of European arthouse, a John Carpenter-esque electronic score and a dizzying array of stunts, no one is safe in this droll nod to 1980s horror. Our grizzled Hangman, sporting a fetching vest and a mask borrowed from Catwoman, challenges us to spot the hazards on various shoddy sites. One mistake and "you're for the big drop, too". You'll never walk under scaffolding again.
