        Overview

Dinmore Hill rises above the River Lugg to the south of Leominster on the A49 road to Hereford. For many years it was the site of motorcycle scrambling and hill-climbing as these late 1920s scenes shot by Hereford film-maker Gordon Griffith show. For once we have a motorcycle hill-climb without the riders becoming bogged down in sticky mud - dust seems to be the problem on this occasion with the sizable crowd of spectators hidden amid billowing clouds of debris.
