Great Noises That Fill the Air
The Bow Gamelan Ensemble stage spectacular avant-garde musical shows.
Overview
Scrap metal, and discarded rubbish with the right acoustic properties, are transformed into industrial-style, home-made instruments by the members of the Bow Gamelan Ensemble. Welding and blow-torches further transforms the material and this documentary fizzes with shrill, explosive sounds and bright lights. Anne Bean, Paul Burwell and Richard Wilson perform open-air.
