Overview

This remarkable film captures scenes of the ordinary and everyday during the early months of 1939. In many cases filmed from the rooftops of Worthing, the film records the people of Worthing going about their daily business – often unaware that they are being filmed. Builders and other tradesmen are seen going about their business in a matter-of-fact way, while severe snow brings disruption to the town. Despite this these pre-war Worthingites still manage to get about.
