Gatwick Swings
Gatwick certainly swings in this visual treat for plane-spotters everywhere. This film is also a wonderful record of our developing love affair with air-travel.

Overview
This fascinating film recalls the time when flying was fun and airports laid on the facilities to watch planes. We see lots of airport paraphenalia and signage, featuring airlines that have long since disappeared. We see a large range of aircraft types, both jets and props, all of which are now extinct, as well as an experimental Soviet-era helicopter. Finally, we see happy holidaymakers flying off to the sun while immigrants can be seen arriving.
