Overview

An excellent record of farming in Cumbria here, from Kendal filmmaker Anne Beck. Going out and about in her locality, filming the people and places she knew well, she has documented the farming year, including not only scenes of haymaking, manure spreading, hedging and sheep shearing, but also traditional farming practices such as dry stone walling and drilling corn using a fiddle.
