Eve and Everybody's Film Review 362
From fashion and slimming tips to a jazz age night out in London - just some of the diverting items in this cinemagazine
Animation & Artists Moving Image 1928 15 mins Silent
Glamour and novelty take pride of place in this curious compilation. There's a strange fantasy sequence in which young women – "peaches on the beaches" - exercise on the sand led by a man with a megaphone, before dancing on rocky outcrops. The film concludes with the "spirit of syncopated gracefulness" in the form of gymnastic dancer Anna Fey performing at the Lido Club in London.
The Lido Club was in Newman Street, just north of Oxford Street, but no longer survives.
