Overview

This comprehensive silent account of post-war youth activities in Derby was produced for the Derby Education Committee. Old time dancing, draughts, badminton and lashings of orange squash are the order of the day. The boys wear jackets and ties, the girls smart dresses. A cliche perhaps, but we are truly looking at a more innocent era before the onslaught of television, rock 'n' roll and other 'dangerous' youth cults.

With thanks to Derbyshire County Council.
