        Overview

Insurance giants Norwich Union always had a great presence at the County Shows including in their home county of Norfolk and from its foundation in Norwich in 1797, the company was now a global empire. This film produced by their in-house production team in 1961 was made most probably to be screened in countries worldwide to show clients and employees of their public presence and standing.

With their own archive of earlier years of the Royal Show and the Queen's visit to a previous show included in the film - the royal patronage would be of great appeal in foreign lands along with the entertainment and spectacle of the displays and military marching bands.
