Curiosities of Sandwich
A rich variety of ingredients are stuffed into this delicious portrait of Sandwich, one of the historic Cinque Ports.
Overview
From moot horns to Flemish textiles and delicious lunchtime snacks, few towns are as richly steeped in history as Sandwich in Kent. This neatly crafted 'miniature' portrait visits the nearby Roman fort at Richborough, steps inside the 16th century courtroom at the Guildhall and explains some of the curiosities of the town's special status as one of the Cinque Ports. Though its olde worlde charm is perhaps exaggerated for the camera, the glimpse of the lost weaving industry is particularly interesting.
