Beefeaters at the village pub must mean that something regal is afoot at Crowle in Worcestershire.
From an ambitious NASA themed float from the Crowle Players to a somewhat dubious Idi Amin skit from a group claiming home rule for the nearby hamlet of Sale Green, the villagers are out in force for this typical celebration for the 1977 Silver Jubilee. Once the fancy dress is out of the way it's down to the serious business of the sports day although, as was common at the time, there's an element of 'It's a Knockout' creeping in to proceedings.
