Overview

An early 9.5mm home movie shot by a Mansfield chemist. Showy ice skaters on a frozen lake take up a lengthy section but a historic high-point is a short visit to Mansfield by King George V in 1928; so short that he doesn't even get out of his car! There are gentle shots of Skegness' seafront and evidence of one of the Skeg attractions as amputee high diver Frank 'Peggy' Gadsby plummets off the end of the pier to entertain the crowds.
