The Media Archive for Central England is the public screen archive for the East and West Midlands. An independent charity and company based at the University of Lincoln, MACE acquires, catalogues, preserves and makes widely available moving image materials that inform our understanding of the diverse cultures and histories of communities between the Lincolnshire coast and the Welsh border.

A nicely put together reel from Nuneaton film-maker Len Bass that shows the Nuneaton Motoring Club racing through the lanes and byways of Warwickshire and west Leicestershire. Leaving Nuneaton town centre behind the drivers can put their foot down, just look out for that farm vehicle coming over the brow of the hill. A treasure trove for classic car fan: from the opening section showing the hapless motorist failing to get his elderly Morris 8 to start.
