Overview
This 1930s promotional film opens at Waterloo with the departure of the Bournemouth Belle. Arriving at the resort we see men in period dress 'map out' the future seaside town. Matching period photos with modern views we see how Bournemouth has grown into an all-round resort with leisure facilities for all tastes - from sandy beaches, cliffs and piers to golf-pros, skating revues, an indoor swimming pool and bowling green and a glimpse of the town's famous symphony orchestra
