Overview

A man and a boy appear to have the little motor boat to themselves and we're shown all the pleasures of a Norfolk Broads trip - the birds, the sparkling water and wide skies, people fishing and manoeuvring their boats. The pair stop to eat their picnic and visit the Nelson Head at Horsey for a couple of pints before returning to the boatyard at Hickling. Max Jenkins filmed this lovely record of a relaxing day with his young son and his film-making friend.

The Whispering Reeds fleet of day boats is based at Hickling, Norfolk on the largest of the Norfolk Broads. This boat trip passes the Hickling Broad National Nature Reserve and on to Horsey Mere.
