Overview

A fascinating compilation of footage documenting aspects of Britain's rail in the 1970s, including the stations at Rainhill and Earlestown, and an assortment of model railways. The filmmaker also takes time to record the bright colours of butterflies on the buddleia growing freely beside the line, and - on a sadder note - abandoned buildings with the rusting remains of track and rolling stock.
