Overview
James Marsh's documentary charts tightrope walker Philippe Petit's attempt to fulfil his audacious dream of walking between the Twin Towers. Archive footage and reconstructions skilfully evoke the drama and audacity of the plan, while talking heads offer a funny and fascinating insight into the minds of Petit and his collaborators. The film builds to its unrepeatable finale: the 'artistic crime of the decade' - beguiling, absurd and awesome.
