Yorgos Lanthimos directs this odd drama in which a group of people start a company where they impersonate the dead to help customers through the grieving process.

With all of the hallmarks of the Greek Weird Wave, Lanthimos' follow up to Dogtooth sees him continuing his exploration of human behaviour, and emotional processes. Debuting at the Venice Film Festival, Alps is somewhat an oddity in his filmography, however is far from a lesser work.
