Dracula's journey has not only taken him across continents, and through numerous adaptations, but has seen vampires develop from creatures of irredeemable evil to romantic heroes in possession of a dark secret. Zombies, werewolves, ghouls and continue to rampage through our culture, breaking taboos and upsetting the censors, but today it seems monsters have become our heroes and our fairy tales are the real nightmares.
