A poor shopkeeper and his wife are saved from penury when they discover hidden treasure. This short section is all that survives of the feature film.

Many silent films only exist in incomplete versions and this is all that is left of this feature. The surviving footage shows the inhabitants of the village of Muddlehampton caught up in the excitement of a treasure hunt. The hidden money is discovered by a poverty-stricken shopkeeper and his wife and saves them from having to send away one of their children
