Overview
Three families live in a three-story building. Over a ten year period, life forces the characters to deal with conflicts that affect the relationships between siblings, parents and children, husbands and wives. Adapted from Eshkol Nevo’s bestseller Three Floors Up, Moretti weaves together stories of love, loyalty, loss and loneliness, capturing their emotional travails at five-year intervals.
Franco Piersanti’s evocative score and a star-studded Italian cast that includes Moretti, Alba Rohrwacher and Riccardo Scamarcio, do justice to a timeless reflection on the ties that bind us together and the impulses that threaten to tear us apart.
