In 2015, a Tunisian teenage shepherd was murdered by ISIS as he tended his flock, with his younger cousin forced to carry his severed head back home. The story shook the country.
Theatre director and filmmaker Lotfi Achour takes this harrowing story to explore the unfathomable effect of trauma and violence felt by the surviving child, Achraf. Combining dreamlike visions with violent reality, Red Path plunges the viewer into the shattered psyche of a child as he struggles to cope with his trauma and memories.
