In the Fog
A suspected Nazi collaborator and his Partisan abductors join forces to escape pursuing German forces, in this vibrantly shot war drama.
Director: Sergei Loznitsa
Overview
In war-torn Belarus, a suspected Nazi collaborator is abducted by Partisans and about to be executed when a surprise altercation with German troops forces all three men to flee together through snowy woodland, having to rely on collective trust.
Sergei Loznitsa’s starkly shot drama received the FIPRESCI award upon its premiere at Cannes 2012; a haunting and engrossing film that questions the corruption of man’s very humanity in the context of war.
