Overview
Often hailed as one of the greatest family films of all time, E.T. tells the story of an abandoned alien a long way from home who befriends Elliott, a young boy who tries to take him in as part of the family. With the government hot on his trail, E.T. must try to get back to his own kind, otherwise life under a microscope is the fate that awaits him.
Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi masterpiece is beautifully made, and only the hardest-hearted could fail to shed a tear by the time the curtains close.
