Beatlemania
All four Beatles reveal all in this unedited interview, shot the night after their legendary 1963 Royal Variety Performance.
Overview
All four Beatles spoke candidly about the onset of Beatlemania in this revealing unedited interview footage, shot for Associated-Rediffusion's current affairs programme This Week. The interview was filmed the night after the only Royal Variety Performance by the Beatles, at which John Lennon had cheekily asked the Queen Mother and assembled throng of great and good to rattle their jewellery along to Twist and Shout.
While George and Ringo manage to approach their half of this interview - shot in the back of a car on 5 November 1963 - with some modicum of seriousness, John and Paul can't quite resist the opportunity to clown around for the camera.
