Overview
At the London Fire Brigade headquarters, based in Southwark, the film opens with a demonstration of fire fighting using relatively new apparatus, including smoke helmets, to combat a blaze. Firemen then line up to receive their medals of bravery from Sir Cyril Jackson, an educationalist and Chairman of the London County Council in 1915.
