Competitive fun for rifle club members from Newport and Monmouth who fire furiously away. One particular man, using a SMLE (Short Magazine Lee Enfield Rifle – a standard British Army weapon), is seen making notes. This footage was shot by Ernest Charles Jordan II, armed with a camera. He was the son of Newport builder Ernest Charles Jordan who also owned the town's White Rose Laundry and the Caefelin Laundry, Llangollen.
