The camera comes out on the Davies family farm on the sunshiny days of summer, when the lupins, sweet peas and dahlias are in bloom.
It’s a good summer for haymaking and combine harvesting, for crop spraying (liming?) and the unloading of feed sacks. The colourful lupins are in full bloom and one of the cows in the yard wouldn’t mind eating them! The Davies family took on Nantgwynfynydd at Oakford (Derwen-gam), Llanarth, Ceredigion in 1954 and are seen here settled in a few years later.
