Overview

At Newton Linford in Leicestershire, near to where she is rumoured to have been born, the villagers are preparing for a huge pageant to celebrate Lady Jane Grey - the nine day queen of July 1553. They've created their own costumes and, with a cast of 150 ,there can't be a single pair of velvet curtains left intact in the village.

More recent research claims that Lady Jane Grey was born in London and not Bradgate Park in Leicestershire as previously believed.
