A Hijacking
Tobias Lindholm’s thriller refreshes the genre as a ship's cook, Somali pirates and a CEO negotiate an endgame.
Director: Tobias Lindholm
Overview
Tobias Lindholm’s outstanding thriller about the hijacking of a Danish ship cleverly contrasts the experiences of two key protagonists – the ship’s cook and the company CEO tasked with managing negotiations back home – to create a fresh, tense and unforgettably visceral film.
Writer-director Lindholm, previously best known for his work on hit Nordic series Borgen and his collaborations with Thomas Vinterberg (such as The Hunt – also on BFI Player) won round acclaim for his second feature at the BFI London Film Festival in 2012.
