Overview

This amusing film shows Mitcham AC’s first cross-country run of the season, with a dozen or so women running through a bleak-looking, mud-splattered Mitcham Common. It opens with the runners giving each other a mutual leg massage – quite a racy scene for the era – and includes a much needed shared foot bath in a bucket, before the presentation of the world’s smallest trophy to winner Miss Eileen Williams by a cigar-smoking smirking dignitary.
