Instructional film/TV programme 1925 20 mins Silent

Overview

The nation brings a broad arsenal to the task of eradicating the mice and rat pest: sulphur dioxide gas, poison bait, red squill powder, varnish traps, breakback traps, rabbit gins as well as dogs and ferrets. The professional exterminator leads the conflict and the war is fought on fronts from the Liverpool Docks to inner-city London, from farmyard and dump to the warehouse and the law courts.
