Views of old Portsmouth contrast sharply with the monumentally monstrous Tricorn Shopping Centre - considered by many, including the film-maker, to be a blight on the city.

Overview

Starting with panoramic shots across the crowded archipelago that is Portsmouth the flim maker then shows us a variety of older buildings in the city, including the railway station, the Post Office and the Theatre Royal. In stark contrast, we're also shown numerous blocks of high-rise flats, the chimneys of a distant power-station as well as views of the notorious and much criticised Tricorn Shopping Centre - itself no more.
