From the collection of:

Overview
Special days in Newport: the Queen Mother’s visit in 1966, that of Prince Charles in 1969, the mayor’s parades in 1972 and 1973, the unveiling of a memorial to the dead of the 1st Monmouthshire Regiment in 1972, the opening of the Ringland Community Centre in 1974. Each title card, introducing the different events, has a background of flowers, suggesting that the unknown film-maker may have been a keen gardener.
