Guisborough Grammar School Sports 1
The brick walk is all the rage at the Guisborough Grammar School sports day in the 1930s.

Overview
A sports day takes place at Guisborough Grammar School in the shadow of the brooding priory ruins and North York Moors. The boys’ high jump and long jump attempts are recorded in quick succession, along with glimpses of the 3-legged race, egg and spoon, hurdles, a sack race starter and the strange sight of the obstacle course brick walk.
Within two years of this film being shot, some of the senior boys and school masters would serve in World War Two. The Grammar School was originally founded in 1561 by Robert Pursglove, the last Prior of Gisborough Priory, as a free school for the sons of local farmers and tradesmen of Cleveland. In 1971 the grammar school became Prior Pursglove College, a co-educational sixth form college.
