Overview

Chiswick Lido was a popular destination for the Topical Budget cameras in the 1920s, who in this case attend the opening day of the swimming season, held on a chilly April morning. A brave volunteer slips out of her fur coat to tests the waters and – shivering but smiling – is rewarded afterwards with a nice reviving cup of tea.
