Overview
A very furry report on the British affection for cats, investigated by the ever-intrepid Daniel Farson as part of his series Farson’s Guide to the British. Lady Aberconway, author of A Dictionary of Cat Lovers, explains the history of cats in Britain and a Mrs Watson tells how she rehomes strays by placing personal ads in The Times. Some taxidermists also reveal how tricky it is to do justice to beloved pets. The cats featured in the report seem rather indifferent to all the attention.
