Wings of Mystery
A thrilling chase through Sheffield’s steelworks with young Don and Jane, looking for clues after the theft of a secret alloy.
Director: Gilbert Gunn
Overview
Those were the days… not a hard hat in sight as two children lead a hectic chase through foundries and monumental steelworks to prevent industrial espionage. The Children’s Film Foundation was famous for its use of picturesque locations; as the key city for steel manufacture, Sheffield provided the perfect backdrop for this thrilling tale of child detectives on the hunt of a secret alloy stolen from their brother's laboratory.
