Rebuilding

After wildfires destroy his ranch, a cowboy (Josh O’Connor) finds refuge in a FEMA camp, gradually rebuilding his life alongside fellow survivors.

After losing the family ranch to a wildfire, divorced cowboy Dusty finds himself living in a FEMA trailer community in Colorado. Withdrawn and adrift, he forms bonds with his new neighbours while slowly reconnecting with his estranged young daughter and ex-wife. Through these relationships, Dusty rediscovers a sense of community and purpose as he begins to rebuild his life and look to the future.

With clear echoes of the humanistic early work of Chloé Zhao, and anchored by a deeply empathetic performance from Josh O’Connor, Rebuilding draws beauty from its rugged and harsh landscape to deliver a moving portrait of resilience, belonging and second chances.
