Along with their mother Hannah (Olivia Colman), non-binary teenager Frances travels to Amsterdam to reconnect with their free-spirited, yet long-absent, grandfather (John Lithgow). As Frances begins to bond with him, Hannah is forced to reflect on her own complicated feelings stemming from her childhood and his parenting.

Sundance-winning director Sophie Hyde (Animals, Good Luck to You, Leo Grande) offers up her most personal story yet, an intimate intergenerational drama drawn from her own family and starring her child, Aud Mason-Hyde, as Frances.
