Heroes Shed No Tears
Master action director John Woo presents this ferociously violent tale of a group of mercenaries sent to capture a drug baron.
Director: John Woo
Overview
A group of mercenaries are sent into the so-called 'Golden Triangle' to capture a drug baron, but nabbing him is the easy bit. He's not going to go quietly: with both by gangsters and the army on their tails, this wild bunch is going to need all the help it can get... After an early career finding his feet amid a variety of genres, with Heroes Shed No Tears John Woo finally landed upon the style with which he'd become synonymous - rip-roaring gunplay, aka 'Heroic Bloodshed'. In his first gun-oriented action film it's fascinating to see dry runs for many of the spectacular set-pieces he'd be renowned for in later classics such as The Killer and Hard Boiled.
